Preface to the supplements: Some time in most educators’ careers they are asked to present a theoretical framework for their beliefs and practices. After 15 years in the classroom this was mine. While it sounds awfully academic to me now, it is nonetheless a worthy document. Its application to how I designed journals, how I wrote curriculum and how my colleagues and I structured the alternative school remains clear to me in its practical application. It is for this purpose I offer it to you as a supplementary guide. Note: not all the work in this section is my own. But I hope you will find these as helpful in your studies as I found them in mine.
